Wazzup Fall?

Time keeps on slippin', slippin'. slippin' in the future...

Oh, excuse me, I didn't realize you were here.

I was just wondering how a month has past since my last blogging.  It's a lot of work to remember to take pictures of all the fun we're having and growing we're doing over here in the 'stock.  Never mind load said pictures onto the computer, sometimes edit and size them, and then display and comment on them here for your viewing pleasure.  Okay, it's not that much work, but takes a little bit of time.  The only computer time I have is if the stars align and G&L nap at the same time in the afternoon, or after they're both asleep at 8pm.  As you can imagine there are others things I need to do during the day and energy levels are low at night.  But, here I am, doing it for us!  Throw me a nice comment once in a while, will ya?

I must apologize for never updating you loyal readers with Leo and Greta's 6 month and 3 year height/weight stats.
Leo on 8/6/13:
19lbs 14.5oz
28" long
18 1/4" head

These measurements put Leo at roughly 80% for weight, 85% for height, and 99% for head size.  Huge brains.  I estimate he is about 21 pounds (nice and round and so so soft) now that he is 8 months old!

Greta:
37 1/4" tall
34 lbs

I didn't get percentages on Greta, but she is getting the long lean look of a real preschooler.  She eats a well balanced diet which is wonderful.  Not every meal is balanced but we aim for a balanced week.  She does love chips and chocolate but understands treats and dessert.  Good thing she likes most fruits and veggies, milk, cheese, bread, and meat on the bone!  Things should still be separated for maximum chance of consumption.
Greta is really enjoying preschool so far and I couldn't be happier for her and the whole family.  Leo and I are getting some quality one-on-one time and I am getting time in at the Y too.

Okay, enough words, I know- on to some pictures!!

I'm a yogurt lover now!

I should have zoomed out for this picture; Norris was begging for Greta's apple while she ignored him.  Leo was inching closer to Norris and when he touched him Norris would shift a little closer to the couch.

I'm eight months old now!  Sitting up and scooting around.

Apple picking at Woodstock Orchards with Mem and Pep

Remember the break room from last year?

Is it shrinking?

Dionne men like apple.

Worker bees

Check out those teeth marks!  Leo has three teeth now.

Greta makes apple picking look good.

Yay- our friend Caroline was there with her Dad and Grandma too!

G: Want to hold hands? C: Okay.  G:  Come on, let's run!

Good hair genes

Family of four in the Fall

We celebrated our five year anniversary on this day, 9/21.  A dinner out (childless!) followed our fun apple picking afternoon.  We also went out to dinner again on 9/28 and to see Pentatonix at UCONN with our anniversary buddies, Liz and Dan.  It was awesome!  Check out Pentatonix here.  And more here.
I think I wrote this last year, but it's that time again- happy Fall y'all!

Oh, and I almost forgot a few excellent Greta-isms:

Anna: Greta, please walk, don't run.
Greta: ::runs::
Craig:  Greta, walk.  Don't run.
G:  I'm not running.  I'm walking in another language!

(Pulling into the Y parking lot)
G: Is Grandma here?
A:  No, she's on vacation with Didi.
G:  Awww, poor Grandma.

(Showing me her school artwork)
A: You made this?
G:  Yup.
A:  Wow!  It's really nice!
G:  You're welcome.

There are so many I'm forgetting but I will try to write them down as she says them in the future.
